As an Office Assistant you will perform a variety of general administrative support activities for the efficient operation of the company office.

ABILITY TO READ, WRITE, AND SPEAK MANDARIN CHINESE REQUIRED.

Primary Duties

  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Organizing and scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Providing general support to visitors by answering questions and requests
  • Carrying out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
  • Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Replying to email, telephone or face to face inquiries
  • Receiving, sorting and distributing the mail
  • Maintaining the office and keep it looking presentable
  • Performing various other administrative tasks as required by the office

Education/Experience

  • Experience working within an office environment required
  • Experience working within a retail, wholesale, or distribution environment preferred
  • Experience in food distribution preferred
  • Purchasing/merchandising experience preferred
  • Fluency speaking/reading Mandarin Chinese required

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Strong attention to details and follow up

Work Environment/Requirements

  • Work is light in nature with some walking for inspections on a regular basis
  • Up to 10% travel required for tradeshows, company functions, etc.

Ensure the organized flow of warehouse and occupancy functions. Such functions include but are not limited to shipping and receiving of goods adhering to stringent product quality standards, inventory control, productivity, order accuracy, and sanitation standards. Functions also include the overseeing of building maintenance and repairs associated with the upkeep of warehouse and office space, to include refrigeration equipment.

Primary Duties

  • Hire, train, direct and discipline warehouse personnel to achieve the most effective use of manpower and equipment. Process weekly payroll and warehouse performance reports.
  • Review receiving to determine stock outs. Inform purchasing of potential outs, under/over stock problems and quality issues.
  • Perform daily sanitation and safety inspections. Ensure security, maintenance, and repair of warehouse equipment and physical building.
  • Conduct routine warehouse meetings including ongoing safety program. You may be required to be a part of the safety committee.
  • Perform cycle counting and reconciliations as well as physical inventories as scheduled.
  • Organize paper flow for outbound shift. Review delivery adjustments and reconcile. Process vendor charge backs to recover lost expenses associated to vendor quality problems.
  • Process expense invoices and manage expenses. Recommend improvements in areas needing improved efficiencies to lower operating costs.
  • Manage productivity and order accuracy to achieve a high warehouse service level.
  • Maintain open communications with other departments, managers, and other company personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Education/Experience

  • A high school diploma/GED plus 4 years experience or bachelors degree.
  • Warehouse supervisory experience in the refrigeration/cold-storage industry highly preferred.

Skills

  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and inventory keying
  • Fluency speaking Mandarin Chinese required; Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
  • Forklift license preferred

Work Environment/Requirements

  • Office is situated in the warehouse. Activities occur both inside (protection from weather conditions but not temperature changes) and outside.
  • Hazardous conditions may exist, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working in extreme cold conditions.

Position is expected to represent the company and assist customers by determining their needs and helping them find the right products and solutions. Sales department is also responsible for dealing with any and all customer questions about the products the company offers. Expected to be continuously updating their knowledge of the company products, services, and policies.

ABILITY TO READ, WRITE, AND SPEAK MANDARIN CHINESE REQUIRED.

  • Increasing sales, cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts
  • Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cooperating with sales and other departments to provide excellent service and a productive workspace
  • Maintaining communication with other departments (Purchasing and Warehouse) to ensure smooth inventory distribution
  • Superior product knowledge, paying attention to customer feedback and reporting on products’ performance in sales
  • The ability to swiftly read, write, and perform basic math.

Education/Experience

  • A high school diploma/GED is required
  • 2+ years retail sales experience – understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.

Skills

  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and inventory keying
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency speaking Mandarin Chinese required; Ability to speak Korean is a plus
